Necromancy in Erebos is a special event: defeat a powerful necromancer and complete a ritual to raise your skill directly to 100.0.

Has extremely high health and resistance.
Its attacks are devastating: it should not be fought alone.
A temporary portal appears upon defeating the Necromancer.

Upon completing the ritual at the chest, your Necromancy skill rises directly to the maximum (100.0).
